Have no idea how I can get this to work with adding users from parent domain to child domain distribution group. Need help immediately.

Can’t add parent domain users to child domain distribution group

Error:
Microsoft Exchange 2007 SP1 – PrepareDomain Failing with Error "Active directory response: 00000525: NameErr: DSID-031A0F80, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT)"

If you are trying to add users from a parent domain and you are getting an error for Microsoft Exchange you must make sure that you have the MS Exchange Install Domain Servers group. It is important that this domain be added from the Child domain as a member for the MS Exchange servers group in the root domain.

To have this resolve, please go to https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125224(EXCHG.80).aspx for steps-by-steps procedure and additional tips. It is a long procedure though, but you may still want to try it nevertheless.
