The Temporary Error 500 is displayed due to the global technical issue by Google. The company may be trying some updates or privacy changes which cause the error. As the name suggests, it is a temporary one and is fixed after sometime. Try restarting the page or browser or updating the app. Clear all caches and cookies. Disable every add-ons and extension. Any of the fore-mentioned methods might resolve the issue.

In Google Mail or Gmail, if you see a “Temporary Error” like “Temporary Error (502)”, your mail will be temporarily unavailable. This error normally goes away quickly. So, if you encounter this error when you try to sign in to your Gmail account, try signing in again after a few minutes. This error doesn’t affect the security of your account and or messages.

Your messages and personal information are still safe. On the other hand, if you see a different kind of error like “Bad Request: Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request” or “Oops” (602, 500, 102, 009, 103), check that the browser you are using works with Gmail. For computers, Google Mail supports the following web browsers:

Try updating your browser to the latest version and try again. If this doesn’t work, try to disable all your browser extensions temporarily. If the problem continues, try to clear your browser’s cache and cookies. Note: removing the cookies will log you out of all your accounts. You need to sign in back to every account that was logged out on the browser.
