When will Canonical Jobs release the almost-complete prototype of the Ubuntu OS Phone and how will it look like?
Canonical Job on Ubuntu OS Phone
The Ubuntu phone is not just a complete OS but more of an add-on for Android devices and that Canonical’s announcement has kicked up quite a stir for a couple of months now.
Even though the prototype that was chosen for the demo was the TI Omap 4430 powered Motorola Atrix 2, even though the software hadn’t been customized/optimized to run on that handset and neither Motorola nor Texas Instruments have been involved in the project, despite the overlook some common tasks ran surprisingly well for example watching video or editing a photo.
It will be a while till we have a fully functioning Ubuntu OS phone but with this announcement things look promising.
