Cannot view bookmarks in Firefox

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and for some reason I can no longer get my bookmarks when I click on it. I restored from a backup and I am not sure if it caused the problem but it used to work a few days ago. I've read I have to install an add-on to make Firefox behave the way it did in the past. I don't like add-ons, is there a quick fix for this?

You do not need an add-on to make the bookmarks available again. There is a file called localstore.rdf in the Firefox profile that affects your current configuration.

The file must be deleted in order to restore the browser to its normal behavior:

1. Make sure that the Firefox browser is closed before proceeding to step 2.

2. Open Windows Explorer.

3. In the top right side there is a search bar. Enter the following word "localstore.rdf" .

4. Once it has finished searching, select the "localstore.rdf" file and delete it.

5. Restart Firefox and import your bookmarks again. Everything should work normally again.
