We are using Publisher 2010. My assistant has been given full rights and permissions of an admin but still she is not able to save a .pub file as a PDF file in Publisher. When I log in with my login details, then I am allowed to perform this task. Can an expert please tell me what can be done to tackle this issue?

When saving a Publisher File, you are able to select the 'Save As…' option from the Files dropdown menu. You can change the file type to PDF from that menu. You are also able to select 'Publish as PDF' from the dropdown Files menu.
Ensure that the file name follows appropriate naming conventions. The following are not accepted as file name characters:
#,&,%,{,},,/,*,?,!,$,",',@,:,+,`,|. Spaces are also not allowed.

You can follow these steps to save your .pub file as a PDF document:
1. Open the publication that you want others to view.
2. Click on Flie menu and select “Publish as PDF”.
3. In the dropdown list, select PDF. Your .pub file will be saved as abc.pdf.
4. Click Publish.
