I am trying to import some MP4 files with Camtasia Studio but I was greeted with an error message. I remember this is the same error I've got when I tried to import MOV And AVI file also. How can I fix this? Are there any limitations on importing files to Camtasia Stuido? Please enlighten me.

Cannot Load File Erron in Camtasia Studio
Since you said you also saw this error message when you tried importing an MOV and an AVI file in Camtasia Studio, for the MOV file, it will require you to install QuickTime on your computer. If you don’t have QuickTime for Windows then you won’t be able to import MOV files. Download and install QuickTime from QuickTime for PC and Mac.
But with the AVI file, I don’t see any problem in importing it. If you are using Camtasia Studio 5.0.0, 6.0.0, 6.0.1, and higher, there should be no problem importing AVI files. In case you want to possibly fix it by installing codecs, visit TechSmith Product Downloads. The CAMREC file you last opened is a Camtasia Studio Recorder file.
So, since it is a Camtasia file, there should be no problem loading it in the program. But since the problem exists in your work, open Camtasia Studio, click Help then “Check for updates”. Check if there’s a much newer version available and if there is, download and install it. This problem should be fixed when you update to Camtasia Studio 8.0.4.
