When I was keeping a backup on a brand new Western Digital 2TB model, the following error message popped up:
"The backup task was aborted because the destination volume's mount point changed."
The hard disk has lots of files copied onto it. So I don’t realize how the backup was aborted. It is mentionable that the model of my computer is iMac running OS X 10.6.8.
Please, help me by providing with a solution.
Cannot keep backup on Digital 2TB model
You are using iMac and you have problems in backup. There are some conditions that may affects in backup:
** Hard drive problem
** Due to a bad cable
** When hitting a patch or a large file.
** Due to a bad port on the Mac. E.g. Firewire or USB
First you check these conditions.
Then you reset all the cable and Start backup again.
You told some files already copied before. You have to clean those file before starting backup again. Sometime these types of problems may occur when hitting patch file or large file, once try to backup without those large file. It may occur due to your hard drive problem. Check the hard drive using another computer and ensure that your hard drive is ready to use. I hope all these will help you to solve your problems
