Cannot create restore point in windows 7

Hello,

My computer started acting funny and I started to receive all types of error messages.

  • I tried to do a system restore and that is when I noticed that there were no  existing restore points created for my computer.
  • So I decided to manually create a restore point. The computer went through the process of creating the restore point and I received a message saying that the restore point was completed successfully, but then I do not see it.
  • I restarted my computer and went to the system restore option, but there was no restore points.
  • I created several manual restore points ,but all of them keep disappearing.

Can anyone explain, what the cause of this can be? Thanks folks.

The following ways can solve your problem:

  1. Click on start, then click on run button.
  2. Then type regedit and click OK.
  3. Then find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCURRENTCONTROLSETSERVICE esVXDVXDMON.
  4. Change the value Delayfirstrstpt from 1 to 0.
  5. Then restart you computer.
  6. After restarting click start, programs, system tools, then click on System Restore point after this it will create the restore point.

The other way is following:

  1. Right click on the my computer icon on the desktop and click on properties.
  2. After opening the windows click on the System Protection Tab.
  3. Single click on the C: and then click on the Create button.
  4. Give the name to your Restore Point and then click OK.
  5. It will take some time and then your System Restore Point is Successfully created.

Thank You.
