Cannot create folders in ‘My Documents’

Hello! I am having a trouble with creating folders in 'My Documents'. When I try to create a folder, an error message appears asking me to configure its emulator or its corresponding plug-in. I have tried configuring it but the program log tells me that updating of user configuration file has failed because access was not allowed. Can you tell me what could possibly be going on with my computer and how could I fix it? Thank you.

Hello, user

The problem you are facing that can be caused for two reasons. One your user account is not an Admin account or I can say a limited account. If it is a limited account then ask your admin to allow you to make change in computer. But the second cause is missing of a system file. This happens for two reasons one virus attack. If this happens you should try Norton antivirus to solve this problem. And the other is inappropriate Instillation. If this happens then you have reinstall your Operating System Or you can re-pier your old one. But my suggestion would be install a fresh one.

Hello Deshaun,

The main reason as to why you may be receiving that problem is because you are not logged on to the computer with administrative rights, hence any action that involves editing or modifying files cannot be permitted to you. So log on to the system with the administrative privileges and then try creating the folder again.

Otherwise you could have set the my documents to folder to read only and therefore no editing or modifying is allowed to it.  You can only view its contents but not edit or modify them.
