Hi,

Try this, plug your camcorder to your i3 PC and right click my computer > properties > and go to device manager if there is some devices with a mark of “exclamation point” I think that is your camcorder you should go to properties and then update driver. I think that’s your problem the device you are using is not yet installed on your PC so you can’t use it.

This might be incompatibility issues. Base on my experience for i3, i5 are encountering problem when used with USB 1.1.  You should install or install the latest BIOS update, some PCs will automatically install this update if you don't have BIOS better to have one so the device can work properly.

Once you've installed BIOS or updated it, Install Scratch Live 2.2 or above and update your driver. Also keep in mind that test all the USB port and it should be working properly and do not use a USB hub some hubs cannot be read by the ports. If still doesn't work try another USB that's compatible with your device and connect it to your PC.
