I have installed the Nero Burning studio but now I cannot burn any discs. There are write errors encountered. I was burning an image of Windows. What could be causing such an error as shown below?
Error message:
Burn process failed at 8x (11.080 KB/s)
Hey! You have a common problem. My advice for you is to try a different DVD/CD, it might be old or worse. Also you should try buying a different brand of DVD or CD. I was thinking also at the laser of your writing that might be old. Hope this will work!

It looks like your problem is appearing for the problem of the burner. If the laser is covered with dusts, this problem might occur.
Clean your laser using a piece of soft cloth or cotton. Then try the process again.
If you still got the problem, either your CD/DVD is corrupted or your CD-ROM is damaged. Change these and see if it works.
