In the outlook, if a pst file is being refused by the outlook to open and an error is shown and reads as “the set of folders cannot be opened. XXXXX.pst has reached it’s maximum size. How can this be solved in simple steps?

The outlook will ask the user to delete some pst files but the folder cannot be folder so it is obvious that you cannot delete files of the folder.

1. Click file menu and then data file management

2. Select the personal folder and now the click settings.

3. Click the compact now option on the general tab

4. Now click ok, and then the click close. You may also delete some files or move some huge files and after that you may repeat the compaction process.
