I used Facebook before for my friends, but using it for couple of months seems that I it not that safe. I have seen something that supposed to be change in their privacy agreements, right? I'm not interested unless they will have big change in their privacy agreements. The rule of thumb/s also if you don't hear me saying it out in public I don't say it on there.
Something informs me that any special features will be limited to Facebook members, so that wouldn't do jack for me, that is big crap. So, can you suggest me anything to use to find my friends, is Gmail can help finding them? or what about twitter or multiply? Any suggestion please.

From what I understand from you is that you are looking for your friends through social networking sites. And with security or privacy consideration. Well, as for 2011, the best social networking site for this year is Facebook. Majority of people are getting there. If you are looking for greater chances of finding your friends, look for them in Facebook.
I was intrigued by your security or privacy issues because almost all social networking sites nowadays have similar trend with regards to security. If your really want secure or private conversation, why not use email. If you want to consider other options aside from Facebook, you can try MySpace and Bebo.

I think Facebook is the best choice before you. The reason is the recent changes in its privacy policies. You can literally choose whether a post is visible to anyone else or not. Your wall can be hidden and your photos as well. Sharing has been made more protective than ever by Facebook and believe me the friend suggestions that Facebook provides are just the ones we need.
Most important of all is the Block feature, anyone who seems troublesome, just hit this button and your problems are solved.
