Hello guys! Finish with the setup of my PC. Installed all applications and software I have and need. Also some games I really love to play. But I'm encountering a problem in Directx 7 Windows XP; I don't know where it went wrong. Can you please help me maybe there are some solutions that I can use to be able to install it? Thanks!

Hi Mili,

DirectX 7 is too older version. Try downloading DirectX 9 from Microsoft website. If the installer says that you have the latest version installed then there is nothing to worry. Another thing is that currently all XP packages should have DirectX 9 included, so you don’t actually need to install this manually.

Hello

I'm sorry but you can't install DirectX 7 on Windows XP. You can install 8, 9 and 10 version but not 7. If you want to play older games then install one of the newer versions of DirectX and then use compatibility mode. Most older games works on Windows 2000 so I advise you to set compatibility to Windows 2000 version. I hope I helped you.

Regards.
