Yesterday I installed GTA V on my playstation 4 and tried playing story mode for few minutes. Then I tried GTA online mode. Immediately it asked me to download an update from PSN and I tried downloading the same. But a pop up says it cannot download the GTA V update. Every time try it, the download stops in very few seconds. Even if I restart the PS4 and try downloading it again but nothing working. Can anyone provide me a solution for this please.

I’m not sure if there is already a fix on this issue because there have been many reports from different users that they, too, can’t download the update. If you still can play Grand Theft Auto V without installing the patch or the update, you may continue until such time the download issue has been fixed.
But according to a recent post in PlayStationLifeStyle.net, dated November 18, 2014, Rockstar said that PlayStation 4 users should no longer experience issues downloading the patch. The problem with character migrations on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 are now working and can now play Grand Theft Auto Online as normal. Rockstar also said that Sony added more PlayStation 4 servers where the update can be downloaded from.
This will decrease the number of errors and the patch will be more accessible. In case you still see an error when downloading the patch, exit Grand Theft Auto V completely and then install the patch.
