I bought a flash drive  with some music in it, it  recognizes in the cd player of my car., but when I connect to the  computer i can not access the folder with the songs, a lock icon appears with this "aux.black 1000.5d573c".  When I try to change to read-only, I get a "Error Applying Attributes" message. The type of folder is this "file folder (. {2559a1f2-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0})" and opens with "common DLL Windows Shell." Wanted full access to folder, does anyone have any solution without formatting?

Hello Cyril,

There are two possible solutions to solve your problem.

1. It seems that your account doesn't have full access to the folders of the thumb drive. What you need to do is to right click on the drive and choose Properties > Security. In that option, you may notice that your windows account name is not there. To add your name and tick on full control then save the changes. See screenshot provided.

2. If the above doesn't work, you can try doing in the command prompt. Open the command prompt as Administrator by right clicking the application and choosing "Run as Administrator". In the command prompt, run the below command.

attrib -r "Full path of folder*.*" /S /D

*take note of the full path of the folder

It should now work after performing this operation.
