Hi Steven C. Ascencio,

Indeed, that surely is a sad one! HAHAHAH! Obviously, your boos does not want you visiting other sites besides than your work. They basically blocked through some options on your web browser, or definitely, through the router that is connected among the computers used in your work. They possibly have used a firewall blocking all the url addresses being placed in the router’s security settings. Nevertheless, we can always get rid of this problem through proxy. Well, there are a lot of proxy servers nowadays that allows you to get around website blocks in school or in your case, in work. Anyway, I suggest you to go to the link below to see proxy list:

If one or more websites are inaccessible from your computer or terminal, one possible way of checking if these sites are blocked directly from your computer is from the Windows hosts file. It is located in “C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc”. But not all methods of blocking websites are done using this file. This is the simplest and shallowest way of blocking websites and is very rarely used.

It is always more effective to block websites using special applications and sometimes filtering them directly from the router. But anyway, to check if the websites are blocked from within your machine, open Windows Explorer then navigate to the above location. Right-click “hosts” and open it with Notepad or your preferred text editor.

Scroll down to the bottom of the file and check what websites are listed there. If you see the blocked websites at the bottom, simply delete the entire line containing the websites and save the file but make sure not to delete other information. See image.

After that restart your computer and you may now access those websites again.
