I don't know if its the real deal, but I got envy and I wanted to have one.

Your friend simply told you a joke. Any "X-ray" scanner for laptop or PC is just a scam.
Please don't believe in it. Real X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation which can penetrate through objects and bodies. Trust me, your laptop camera can't do it.
What you really have in your laptop is just a simple CCD camera with dedicated software to control it (to take pictures or videos).

If you are asking about a program that can give you a picture that looks like an x-ray image, such programs are available in many PCs and can also be found in android tablets and iPhones.
Such programs can be used only for fun.

The real X-ray images are produced by medical devices equipped with specialized x-ray tubes.
