What is Federated Cloud? Is this a technology to move my data warehouse on cloud? If yes than can someone can explorer the steps for this? Also I have heard that there are many service providers out of which I can choose one, can someone give me details on this. What are the differences in their facilities? Is federated Cloud service costly? What type of guarantee is provided for my data security by these services?
Can some explain me Federate Cloud Services
Federated cloud is also called cloud federation. It is the management and deployment of numerous internal and external cloud computing services to complement business needs. A cloud federation is the practice of connecting cloud computing environments of two or more service providers for the purpose of accommodating spikes in demand and load balancing the traffic. It needs one provider to rent or wholesale computing resources to another cloud provider.
Cloud federation offers two significant advantages to cloud providers. First, it permits providers to earn revenue from computing resources. Second, it allows cloud providers to increase their geographic footprints and accommodate unexpected spikes in demand without the need of building new POPs or Points-of-Presence. From cloud provisioning to BSS or Billing Support Systems and customer support, service providers endeavor to make all aspects of cloud federation.
