It seems that there was a change in your system that caused this issue to happen. If so, have you tried doing System Restore first? If so, and it did not correct the issue then try the following solutions as these might help resolved your problem.

  1. Uninstall everything that’s related to your Lexmark printer. When I say everything, I mean everything from programs, device drivers and utilities. To achieve this faster, download and install RevoUninstaller. This program will remove everything for you. After the first step on the removal process, it will ask you to do a scan for left over files and registry entries. It is recommend using the advance option and clicking on next. If the program detects any left over entries, it will show it in a list, all you need to do is to select all and then click on delete. Once done, you can try to install the driver and the program for the printer again and restart. If is does not work, you can try the second option.
  2. Again, you need to uninstall the program for Lexmark. Use RevoUninstaller. Then before installing the printer, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:/Windows/System32/spool/PRINTERS and delete anything you see that has Lexmark in it. Then reinstall the Lexmark software.
  3. Another thing that you might want to do is to clean the registry and any temporary file from the computer. And the fastest and easiest way to do this is to use CCleaner. Also, there is no need to install, just search for CCleaner Portable, download and click on the program. It let’s you clean the registry, temporary files, and even automatically clears cookies and printer cache.
  4. You might also want to try to remember if you installed any new program before this issue happened, if so, then you might want to remove the program from the system and then reinstall the Lexmark driver and software.
  5. Try doing a windows update. Uninstall the Lexmark driver and software first, then initiate a windows update. There are times that updating the OS fixes the problem as this might just be a bug on the OS and a recent update has corrected the issue. If you find yourself not able to perform Windows Update, then there is a possibility that you have other issues on the system, and that this printer issue is just coincidence.
  6. Check your firewall configuration and also your anti-virus. There are times that the ports used by the printer are being monitored by the firewall, and there will be times that these are disabled or blocked for incoming and outgoing data.

That’s all for this issue. Normally, if this does not fix it then there is a problem with the printer itself and not with your computer. If so, since it’s an AIO there should be a panel on the printer that shows if there is an error on the printer itself. Look at the panel and if there is an error contact Lexmark support as this will be a hardware problem rather than a system problem.

Hi Madona,

Here is basic step on how to check your printer,

1. Check the cartridge if the printer if it’s properly installed.

2. Check if you load the paper correctly.

3. Check if there are paper jams inside the printer, and also look for a small piece of paper that made the printer jam, or even a small piece of foreign objects like paper clips.

4. Lastly do a print test, here’s how to do it,

Click the start menu > click control panel > click Printer and Fax.

You can see your printer device here if you install it already.

Now right click to the listed printer and click on properties.

A dialog box will be display, now go to general tab and click the Print Test Page at the bottom part of the dialog box.

Your printer should be performing a print test.

Hope this can solve your problem,

Have you tried to remove the software of your Lexmark printer? Remove the entire components and then perform a clean installation in any case that there is a missing or damaged file, it will be replaced. Ensure that it is properly connected to your computer and properly configured. Ensure that your Lexmark printer is selected as the default printer when printing a document as shown in the picture:
