What is the prospect of using biometrics (say iris scan) for increasing the security of enterprises? How does the cost of setting up such complex software measure up against the cost of administrative tasks incurred when people forget their password? Is it possible to breach this method of identification e.g. can iris scans be duplicated?

Iris biometric would definitely provide a bit more security to the enterprises. The live template which we capture will be compared with the template stored in the database. Biometric sensors are very expensive to setup in enterprises rather than the usual password based authentication system. Not only that, iris templates are more vulnerable to hacking because no live tissue verification of eye is done. The authentication system can be easily fooled by duplicating the iris. However, fingerprint biometric is best to use in enterprises. Each biometric process is having some drawback apart from being expensive despite of having advantage of security providing.
