I would like to add more internal drives when I rebuild my case in a couple years. But for now I am going to add external drives to store extra photos and music. Can you use internal drives in a external case and vise versa? I would like to take a part my external and mount it internal later if possible.

Hi, Joseph K Carpenter yes you can even been doing that also but you have to be careful this type of drive is so sensitive if you don't take good care of it. You can lose all your data. Unlike passport they build to withstand pressure of moving around. So if you only store data on it just keep it safe where it will not be disturb there are product on amazon or eBay that you can order.
by changing the jumper you can change it to primary or secondary. Primary drive is where your OS system in stored it can change to secondary and become external if you change the jumper to secondary.
