Can I use pwr option win7 with virus guard

HI everyone,

I use windows 7 operating system and I like to use pwr option win7 facilities. I have Norton anti-virus software and I have heard that sometime pwr option does not work correctly because of virus guard. Please tell me is it true or if so what can I do?

Hi Hamilton Honny,

I assume "pwr" means power options.

There are no reports of antivirus guarding against any core system functionalities like power management. So you can be sure that the power option will work for you in your Windows 7.

To set your power options as per your need, click on the power icon/ battery icon on your PC. This gives you the option to select the needed power settings customised to your needs.

The same can be done by going to "start"–and type "power options".
