I am thinking of printing to a TCP/IP network printer under windows 8. Can I use and technologies dosprint or what do you suggest? Does windows 8 even still have the command prompt?

Yes you can always use the dos print on windows 8 platform, the program, dosprint is capable of running the program on any windows platforms including the windows 8 operating system. However, when I have checked the link dosprint.com, it seems like it's down and I believe that they have transferred to this link : http://www.dosprn.com/
