I am planning to receive a Microsoft Office Home and Business this summer. I heard that it can only install six times. Is that true? If it is true, is there any way to put in this program over six times? Possibly burn a replica of the CD first? Violating copyright if I burn it to disc?

A retail copy of Office Home and Business 2010 can be installed only on one licensed device and a portable device. That is a desktop and a laptop. It cannot be used on two desktops or two laptops. If you would like to install it on more than one computer or one laptop, you will have to purchase additional license.
The software can be re-installed on the same computer any number of times. You will have to activate the software after installation on the device otherwise it will move to reduce functionality mode in which you will not be able to access certain Office features.
It is also possible to transfer the software from one computer to another. However, you will have to uninstall the software completely form the former computer before installing it on the second one.
An Office software that come pre-installed on the computer (OEM version) are non- transferrable. They live and die with the computer.

This depends on your purchase item.
If you buy the Traditional Disc, i.e. Traditional Disc Retail License of Office Professional 2010 or Office Business and Home 2010, then the terms of Retail License shall allow you for personal use. Therefore you can use, activate and install Office Professional 2010 or Office Business and Home 2010 on your personal computer, laptop and any portable device.
If you buy the Product Key Card of Office 2010, you could only use, activate and install in one and only one personal computer or device.
