I am a software programmer and work on create applications for user interface. It just came to my mind, while I was working on an application and developing a user interface for shopping site. We all have same basic screen for Windows 7 operating system. I am bored of the “start Button” and want to do some sort of creativity to change that from “start” to any other text. I am not sure whether this is possible, but have heard of few other options to customize windows. Is this even possible, if yes, how to do it?
Can I change the Start Menu Text to any other welcome text
Follow this procedure to complete your task.
Open the Explorer.exe file in Resource Hacker
In case you running Windows Classic Theme go to: String Table -> 38 -> 1033 -> 595 and when you are running Luna Theme too go to: String Table -> 37 -> 1033 -> 578
In the right hand side of the Resource Hacker pane, you will find the "start" after executing the above instruction. In changing the Start Button text with your preferred text, make sure to maintain the quotes around it.
Click on "Compile Script" button and save the file after replacing or retyping the preferred text.
Restart your computer to see finally the execution (new text on start button) being materialized on your computer system.
