Can I change the shade of an existing powerpoint background?

I have a Powerpoint presentation prepared but when I show it on the screen, I want the background to appear a bit lighter. I used an available background, not a custom one. Is there a way for me to change the shading so that it can be seen better on screen? Thank you.

Yes of course, it is quite easy to change the background shade of the Power Point slides by simply following these steps,

  • Right click on any slide 
  • Click on format background
  • Select the "Color" option or go to the "Transparency" option 
  • Select a light color or set the preferred level of shade
  • Click on " Apply to All"
