I have a Dell Dimension 5000 that has Pentium 4 3.0 GHz, 1 G DDR2 RAM and Intel GMA 900 graphics chip. Can the Dell gma 900 graphic chipset run on a 1920×1080 high definition monitor? How do I maximize the memory of the integrated graphics card? My Dell runs on Windows XP and it says video card has 128 MB.
Can Dell gma 900 chipset handle high definition?
According to Intel's Specification Sheet about Intel GMA 900 the max resolution that it supports is 2048×1536 at 85 Hz. Also it can run applications and media in 720p and 1080p. Before you connect it to the HD monitor make sure that you update your graphics card with the latest drivers and you should be alright.
