Can AVG stop Google Chrome?

Hi,

AVG can detect anything as a virus if it has an outdated database. I have faced the same issue when i used AVG free version. The only way to bypass this problem is to update the database as soon as possible. Sometimes i have seen AVG detecting every software as a threat and removing them from the computer. So its better to update the database and in case it does not work, downloading a new copy is the best solution.

Recently I also experienced this problem. When I go to install any software it detects that "your installation this may harm your PC". But, then I downloaded the latest version of Avira Free Antivirus 2013 and installed in my PC. Now, my entire program is working properly and my PC is safe and secure. You also can try it.

If an AVG Link scanner feature is turned on and it finds some of the malicious links which might affect your computer, Definitely it would try to prevent you to open that link attempting to close the browser or simply warning you not to proceed to the website.

In this case if you don't want to face the same problem again. Simply turn off the link Scanner feature of the Antivirus.
