What is Glass2K option? I have heard that it is related to Windows XP, but have no idea what it is about. Also I have heard about its relativity with transparency. Does it deal with the problem of seeing other application while still working on one? I know that many of us want to have a solution to this problem, but I am not sure whether Glass2K is designed to do that. Can someone elaborate on this?

Glass2k is a very small application that allows you to make any window transparent. It is a program that will give you the option to add transparency to any window or to all windows on your screen using keyboard shortcuts. Just remember, when making a window transparent, make sure it is the active window then press the keyboard combination to activate the effect.

Glass2k works on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7. It requires Visual Basic 6 runtime DLLs. I guess the memory won’t be a problem because it only requires around 64 MB of your RAM. In case you get an error that goes something like “Runtime DLL/OCX File error”, you need to download and install Visual Basic 6 Runtimes.

Unfortunately, Glass2k is no longer being developed and is only in beta version. Its home page has already been archived and the website is no longer being used. I guess this would be the last version you’ll ever get.
