Thank you for creating this site where we can get solutions to problems we encounter. My computer in which I installed XP operating system can only get access to Google website and cannot log on to any other sites. Kindly give me your assistance because this has caused me much worry. Surprisingly, other operating systems that I have on my other computers like vista and windows 7 operate efficiently. All my efforts to try and resolve this situation have proved futile. I am looking forward to getting feedback from you soon. Much gratitude.

Hi user

The problem might with your internet connection. If you have set Google as your homepage then your browser will load offline files saved by Google to open the page, as a result you are able to view that page without any internet access. Try making any searches in Google to see whether it really works.

The problem is not with your network device as it is working in Vista and Windows 7. The driver for xp could be corrupt; try reinstalling the driver. Also try resetting the Internet settings to default. Do this by going to the control panel and open Internet options, in the advanced tab click on Reset.
