I am using a new Galaxy S4. All my contacts in the list are from my Google account. Whenever I receive a call from someone, most of the times only the caller's number is seen on the screen but not the caller's ID. Why is this so? I can't figure out who's calling until I dont actually receive the call ! That has become such a nuisance. Please tell me the solution for this. How can I make changes in the settings so all the IDs are read and displayed instead of the numbers?

Hi Darlene,

There are 2 major causes of this particular problem. To solve this check your Wi-Fi access point because if you are connected to one, your phone will not be able to connect to the mobile data network. The other way to solve this is by turning on your synchronization for your Gmail account. To do this, from your home screen, tap on “menu”, select “settings”, and tap on “accounts”. Touch the account that has those contacts that you want to sync with your phone. Tap on “Sync Contacts” to mark the check-box on the side and your phone will start syncing the contacts. Exit the syncing setting after it’s done and do this for any other account you may have. I hope this information helps.
