I have a GSM phone that I noticed that I cannot make a call in the 3G network compared to the 2G network without dropping. I thought the reverse would hold, could there be a problem with my phone ors its the network provider on the 3G service? I wanted to be able to utilize the 3G network

Normally, a dropped call is caused by a poor signal in your area. If you say your calls are getting dropped whenever you try calling using 3G, check the level of 3G signal you are receiving in your area. The weaker the signal, the higher the chance of getting dropped calls when you are on 3G.

If you get higher signal on 2G than in 3G, try shifting your calls to 2G from 3G because 2G is originally designed for voice calls. Another way of improving your 3G call is to transfer to an area where 3G signal is high. If you get a higher signal, you will have a more stable connection.
