Hello

I am using windows vista OS. I recently tried to register a Dll with regsvr32.exe but unfortunately I failed.

I got the following window pop up on my screen:

The error statement is as follows:

The module “jscript.dll” was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0×80004005.

For more information about this program, search online using the error code as a search term.

I have searched this error code but couldn’t find anything useful as to what does this error code means.

Can anyone please let me know what is it and how can I get rid of this?

Waiting for your suggestions.

Regards,

Ammelia

Hello Ammelia,

Check the following things that will help you resolve the issue:

  • If you upgraded to Win7 or is it a new computer.
  • Whether the  PC is running 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
  • Whether the anti-virus application or security suite that you are using is up to date.
  • Whether a Norton free-trial or a McAfee free-trial came preinstalled on the computer when you bought it.

Regards,

Nicke
