Hi there,

We have this project in school that is all about videotaping, which needs to be burnt and passed next during the finals. We already finish burning it but an error occurred during the process. I don’t know why this happened even though I followed every step on how to burn CD’s.

Can anyone help me with this error?

There must be a conflict with your Codec and the video format that you burned. You should have a good Codec that supports the file format of your video and also the software itself used to burn the CD should support the Codec. If not, convert the video that your going to burn to a format readable and convertible by the software.

Note: If the video you burn doesn't seem to have a problem, then there is no need to reburn your CD. But try to follow this in the future, it does help.

Note: Also I can't read your attached image, so I based my answers on experience, because that is the most common error I get when I burn a CD, that has an error coming up at the end of the burning process.

Hello,

You must check the Compact Disk first, if it is working before proceeding and always check the CD if there are any scratches or simply just check the CD, if there is a data install.

Make sure the CD can handle the extreme care before transferring a file. Before you buy a CD you must check if it is branded media or writable CD to avoid an error or failure while burning and try to close all programs before processing.

Make sure that you first scan the file to your system, before burning to the CD. Try to check if you burn more than one to your computer. Sometimes there is a conflict with each other and it is not compatible during the processing of the file or burn. Try to defrag in your system before processing.

If you already have the finished video in a file, burning it on a CD or DVD is easy. Depending on the size of the video, you can burn the video file as a data file or a video CD or DVD on a blank disc. If you burn the video as data, it will be burnt as a file.

For example, if you have the video recorded in the file called “project.avi”, when you burn it as data, it will be burnt as “project.avi” on the disc. It will appear on the disc after burning as an ordinary file. But if you burn it as a video CD or video DVD, the outcome will be a video disc playable on a VCD or DVD player.

You won’t find the file “project.avi” on the disc because it is converted into a video disc. For a free burner, try ImgBurn.
