If your Adobe Flash Player failed to install because it detected an open browser even if there is no browser open at that time, try installing it again by downloading the installer using your web browser. Open your web browser and then visit Adobe’s web site at http://www.adobe.com or just go directly to the download page of Adobe Flash Player at https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP. Download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. The latest release is version 11.2.202.233. After downloading the file, close your web browser then go to the folder where you save the installer. Open it then wait for it to finish.

If this didn’t work and it still detected an open browser, abort the installation. Uninstall your current Adobe Flash Player using the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. Restart your computer to have a fresh system. After rebooting the computer, check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. After the disk check, repeat again the procedure above in downloading the Adobe Flash Player installer then proceed on installing it afterwards.
