Bluetooth issue in Iphone 6

Hello! I just bought my IPhone 6 and I was expecting it to be error free but its not. The biggest issue so far has been with the Bluetooth of my IPhone. It rarely connects with other devices especially with the Bluetooth systems in car. I have tried to connect in different cars but it just doesn't work. I also monitored my car's Bluetooth system and checked for problems. There was no problem. What should I do?

Hi David,

The first step to be done in this case is to delete all the pairings existing in the car or the Bluetooth device. Go to Settings – General -Reset – Reset Network Settings on the iPhone.
Next, hold pressing the Sleep/Wake and Home button simultaneously until the company logo appears on screen. Ensure that the Bluetooth device is discoverable and try to pair the car with the discovered Bluetooth device using a passcode as prompted.

Regards,
Anyet

If you have a problem with the Bluetooth connection on your iPhone 6 not connecting with other Bluetooth-enabled devices, I guess it is a compatibility issue. You see if a mobile device is installed with a very old Bluetooth version, newer devices with newer Bluetooth technology will not be able to connect to the device.

Although they will be able to see each other when Bluetooth is enabled on both devices but connecting to one another is another story. If you want to connect your iPhone 6 to your car system, you should check the Bluetooth version that exists in your car. If it is very old then you can’t connect your iPhone 6.

The latest iPhone 6 Smartphone is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and LE support. I’ve already tested the Bluetooth issue between a newer phone and an old phone. I tested it using Samsung Galaxy S3 mini and Nokia N70. The Nokia N70 mobile phone is equipped with Bluetooth 2.0 while the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, EDR, LE, and apt-X support.

When I tried enabling the Bluetooth on both devices, they can see each other. But when I tried to connect or pair, they won’t pair.

There are two solutions for your problem. One is that you should factory reset your iPhone 6 and the other is delete all the previous pairing with other devices and try to connect with the car’s Bluetooth.
