I have this Blackberry application that I am testing by using the e-mail server simulator.
By using the e-mail server simulator I successfully sent an e-mail from Microsoft Outlook Express to the BlackBerry device simulator.
However, this same process is not as successful when sending an e-mail to Outlook Express.
I don’t understand why is it that from what was implied from the simulator the e-mail went through when I sent it but apparently the Outlook never got the e-mail I just sent.
Any ideas with it?

That should be caused by the settings that you have configured in outlook or the blackberry device simulator. In case it is an outlook that has a problem with the settings, the problem is with the POP3 settings which are responsible for incoming mails. Maybe you have not configured them properly and therefore you will need to cross check that.
The SMTP settings should be working fine for outlook if the message was able to be delivered successfully to the blackberry device simulator.
In case the problem is with the blackberry simulator, then it is with the outgoing settings and therefore you should look them out and change them if they have a problem.
