Hi Dawn,

I am a proud Android phone owner. I am really loving it. It has features such as custom ROM's, and the best part about Android phone is that they are open source code. It means that even YOU could develop apps for it or improve source code to make your phone better. If you want, you can read more about it.

To make it short, here's why you should choose Android:

  •  It has native Gmail App
  •  Google Play Market (now called Google Play) has over 500000 apps and it's still increasing
  •  Google Maps Navigation
  •  Google Drive
  •  Customization possibilities. Android platform is without question the easiest to customize.

I hope my answer will clear your doubts.

That would really depend on the apps you want to use. If most of the apps you want to use are Android or mostly available on the Google Play store, you should buy an Android phone. But if your target apps are mostly found on the Microsoft App store then buy a Windows phone. Don’t buy a Windows phone if you use less Windows apps than Android apps.

There are not much apps at the moment that will allow you to run Windows apps on Android devices and vice versa. There is an Android app called “CrossOver” that will allow you to run Windows programs on your Android device but it is still in the testing phase at the moment.

There is also another app called “Parallels Access” that you can install on your Android device but this will not actually run a Windows app on your Android device. Instead, the app lets you or your Android device connect to your Windows computer to access the programs installed in there.
