Hi Christopher B. Pyler,

You should consider the following ways to eliminate the risk of getting unathorized access involving in the wireless networking.

1.       Default Administrator password + username

First off, change the default password and username for your router’s web interface.

2.       Turn on WPA encryption key with more strong key

You are already using WPA2 PSK based authentication which is quite hard to access. But for your satisfaction try the most annoying password for every person who try to access which is something like 3lk22hsjj2. This is important because this kind of password is very hard to manipulate.

3.       Change the default SSID

Try changing the default SSID name to a different name on daily basis. Which is very easy and fruitful.

4.       Assign Static IP Addresses to Each machine your router is supposed to connect

Try assigning static IP address to each machine your router connects to. This way the attacker would have manipulate many passwords if he’s using any other machine because he cannot use his machine whose IP is already assigned static.
