When I try to run Windows update by clicking on "Check for Updates" inside the Windows Update I get Windows update error 800b0001.How can I fix this error?

This error means that Windows Update is not able to determine the cryptographic service provider. You can follow the steps given below to solve this issue.
(i) Download Update for Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP2
(ii) Run Update Service.
(iii) Stop the WWW service and Update Services.
(iv) Then perform IISRESET and start Update services.
