I want to maximize the video performance of my video card. What’s the best setting for the AGP Aperture Size since a have an AGP 256MB Video Card? Does it pertain to the video ram capacity? is it the same with shared system ram?

If you want to maximize your video card (AGP), you can select an option of shared AGP memory for maximize it. If you have a AGP with the maximum capacity of 256 then you can not go for maximize up to 256.

That option of maximize depends the size of the AGP you installed. You can share more RAM space to maximize your AGP but it will take effect on your RAM capacity. You can increase your AGP from your BIOS (Basic Input Output System). Just log in to your BIOS at the time of computer starts and maximize AGP.

The other way to maximize your AGP is put an external AGP in your PCI slot that has more then 256 memory capacities.

In some cases it is possible to increase you video card performance by increasing the clock frequency of your video device. But it really harms your card. Because most of cards are designs to met the minimum requirements and you need to buy another card it you want to increase the capacity of your card. If you are using 256 MB Video card then it is Alright and its supports most of your daily work as you can play games and many other related things. But if you are a professional and doing some graphic task as you are designer and need extra memory for you video related tasks then the best solution for your problem is to buy a external video card and plug it to your computer to increase the capacity and performance.

Also i can ask you that only use one program at a time to increase your video performance. Make you processor free and then perform such a task which contains video memory to be used.

I hope it will help you lot to solve your problem.
