For this year 2016, among the latest Android Smartphones include Huawei P9, LG G5, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, LG V10, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Huawei Mate S, and more. Since there are so many, I will only be discussing the Huawei P9 model. The Huawei P9 Smartphone is a 4G device operating on 2G, 3G, and 4G network bands using GSM, HSPA, and LTE technologies. It was unveiled and released on April 2016. It measures 145 x 70.9 x 7 millimeters and weighs 144 grams.

It uses a nano-SIM card and is available in single SIM and dual SIM (dual standby) models. It has an IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch with Emotion UI 4.1.

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow powered by HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset, Quad Core 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 and Quad Core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 256 GB which uses the SIM 2 slot.

It runs on either 3 GB (EVA-L19 and EVA-L09 models) or 4 GB RAM (EVA-L29) with internal storage available in the following capacities: 32 GB for the 3 GB RAM model and 64 GB for the 4 GB RAM model. The primary camera supports dual 12 megapixels with f/2.2, 27 mm, auto focus, dual LED flash (dual tone), Leica optics, and phase detection.

The primary camera features 1.25 µm pixel size, face and smile detection, panorama, geo-tagging, touch focus, and HDR. The primary camera can record video in 1080p at 60 fps, 1080p at 30 fps, and 720p at 120 fps. The secondary camera supports 8 megapixels with f/2.4 and can record video in 1080p.

It has 3.5-millimeter jack with 24-bit/192kHz audio and Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, and hotspot; Bluetooth 4.2 with A2DP and LE; GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS/BDS (market dependant); NFC (EVA-L09 model only); and USB type-C 1.0 reversible connector. It doesn’t have radio. It has built-in fingerprint, proximity, compass, accelerometer, and gyro sensors.

The pre-installed web browser supports HTML5. It doesn’t support Java. It runs on a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery and available in Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Rose Gold, Titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, and Prestige Gold colors. It costs around 550 Euros.
