Hello there,

I suggest you go for 1920×1080 depending on the format you are using. High profile would be good and constant quality on 19. There are times that it depends on how big your format is and what equipment you are using in order to view them. But for best possible outcome, the size I've suggested would be good. Handbrake is good to use. You can edit the settings depending on how you would like it to appear with good video quality.

Hope this had helped you in some way.

Thanks.

Francis

The best compression ratio for Blu-ray when converting it to other formats like AVI or MP4 would really depend on what quality you want for the video. When converting video files, the software you usually used already has profiles available for the target format you want. You only just need to adjust a couple of settings to achieve the quality you want.

Setting the conversion to a lower compression ratio, like for example, setting the conversion on lower bit rate, frame rate, or maybe changing the video size or video resolution would affect the quality of the output video file. If you are a beginner on this process, you can do several experiments until you familiarize yourself with what every setting do and what to expect when changing a particular option.
