Hello,

I updated my ArcSoft TotalMedia Theater 3 and I have this error message when I want to open the program. I have checked and the installer is compatible with my Windows and still… Can anyone help me to install the updates to my PC? Is something wrong with the drivers updates?

Thank you!

I think the problem here is not actually with the program’s compatibility over your operating system, since you were able to install it, but with the playback capability of ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3 over your computer. Its actual system specifications vary depending on how you will be using it. But generally, to run or install ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3, you need to have either Windows XP Service Pack 2 and up or Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and up.

If you are using Microsoft Windows 7, try running it in compatibility mode for Windows Vista Service Pack 1. You should have at least 512 MB RAM to use it. Here’s where the specifications changes depending on how you use it. If you’ll be doing DVD playbacks or you’ll be watching DVD movies with SD 480p, you need to have at least Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, and 32 MB video RAM for the video card.

If you’ll be playing some Blu-ray discs, you need to have at least 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo, 1 GB RAM, and either an NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT or ATI Radeon HD 2400 graphics adapter. So that’s the difference. If you can use ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre on your DVDs then it may not be the same with your Blu-ray.

It’s obvious in your screenshot that your issue is with your Blu-ray and the only thing you can do to fix it and be able to use your Blu-ray again is to upgrade your hardware to meet the requirements.
