I am new to the Samsung Galaxy Series and recently purchased a new Galaxy S3. I am enjoying it thoroughly, but today while working on it I saw that the device drained battery faster than usual and was overheated. Did not understand the cause. Even while charging the temperature hits 44 degrees Celsius. Is this suppose to be normal? How do I fix it?

Ensure that you have turned your Wi-Fi or GPS and Location Services off. Remember that doing this will also increase your battery life. However, if the problem is still not resolve and turning off your data services will not fix the issue and the device is still usable, go to the Settings> Wireless and Networks> Mobile Networks. Turn off the Cellular data or the Mobile data services.
Doing this step will improve your battery life 10x faster and the overheat issue will finally be resolved.
The processor and chipset are continuously trying to uphold a connection with your IP address from your network provider. On some countries, the cellular data is unstable and can produce conflict on your IP every minute.
As an effect, your device will go to a contiunous loop and will resolve the absolute network. Therefore, it will result to overloading on your processor and will use up your battery life. Please let us know if turning the data services off will enhanced your battery and take out the over heating issue on your mobile phone. There are various devices that used the same step and eliminates the over heating issue. To make it more easy, you can put the data services icon on your home screen desktop that will change the Cellular data if needed.

– Switch using WiFi instead of using SIMS data plan.
– Minimize brightness it is one of the factor that drains the battery.
