Suppose there are two cells that you want to link. First cell contains 'First Name' and second cell contains the 'Last Name'.
Now you want to link 'First Name' and 'Last Name' and make new cell 'Name' that contains both 'First Name' and 'Last Name'

Suppose the 'First Name' is Sharon (in cell A2) and 'Last Name' is Joy (in cell B2).
Then type in cell C2 =A2&B2
Press enter.
The name will appear like this: SharonJoy.
If you want space between then change the C2 to this:
=A2&" "&B2

You can link to many cells like this. Link each cells with & sign and if you want spaces between them then use " ". You can add any thing other than space, whatever you add, it should be in double quotes.
For eg. If you want add comma instead of space the formula would be:
=A2&","&B2

Data which are in two or more than two can be taken in to a one column in Microsoft excel easily.

According to your question I will take an example in order to explain how to complete your required task.

In the below image you can see Names are in column A and codes are in column B.

Now type the following formula in the cell C3.

=A3&B3

Now copy that formula in to below cells. It will display the name and the code in the same column.

However, if you want to put a dash (-) between the name and the code, you can type following formula and copy it down.

=A3&"-"&B3
