I'm just wondering how internet shop owners know which computer in a network of computer uses most of the bandwidth.

For example you are downloading a big file, the other computers' internet speed but how do they know you and not the others are the one using the bulk of the bandwidth?

They actually use a program wherein incoming and outbound data are monitored and evaluates whether which site or what site in particular you visit, one example of this is the Antemedia.com’ Bandwidth manager.

By using this program you can actually set limits of upload and download speeds for all the users in the network.

It also has a feature wherein you can blacklist sites so that you can manage sites that the Customer visits.

Hope this helps.
