Avira Internet Security 2012 Setup error

Hello there,

When I try to update the existing Avira Internet Security version to Avira 2012 I ended up with an error message. This error stopped my installation from proceeding further. I try to re-install the version but no result and even I try to repair it. But the error remains persists, How to rectify this error? Please guide me to fix the error. Thanks.

The installation of the LSP failed. Mail protection and web Protection therefore. cannot be installed. We recommend that you repair the LSP stack and then reinstall Mail Protection and Web Protection via the user-defined installation.

Try the following options:-

1.   Open command prompt (DOS screen) and type the command <netsh winsock reset>.

2.   Restart your system

3.   Post restart, go inside control panel > Add/remove programs, select the program naming Avira and press the Change option.

4.   An Avira installer window will open where modify option will remain selected follow the steps and ensure all default options remains selected. Once done restart your system again.

Post the steps you can install any updates on Avira.
