Everything was going well with the installation of my Avira Free Antivirus until I got this Error code: 5 saying it cannot copy a oravscan.exe file, ApnIC.dll, located in “C:\DOCUME~1\(User Name)\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\ApnIC.dll”. What’s so special with this file?

Setup

The file could not be copied. Error code:5

C:\DOCUME~1\Mirella\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0\ApnIC.dll

                                      OK

It looks like a simple problem but I can’t find the solution. Anyone here have any suggestion? Thank you!

Hallo Louise,

To resolve that issue, you will need to first of all make sure that you are logged onto your computer as the Administrator, and then you will do the following:

  • Go to the Run link on the windows start menu.
  • Write down, and after that enter the netsh winsock reset windows command prompt.
  • After that you will have to save your data and then restart your computer.
  • After the computer has rebooted, you will need to visit the Avira Antivirus that you have installed on your computer and then try running Change section on the Avira setup window in order to modify the Avira application.

Regards,

Carl
